Terms of Service
By using Bread & Word, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as plain as we can.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Bread & Word (the "app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Who can use Bread & Word
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
You may use the app as a guest or as a member. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
4. Community conduct
Bread & Word is a place for prayer, Scripture, and genuine fellowship. When you post prayers, host or speak in rooms, or interact with others, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, demean, or abuse anyone.
- Post hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or unlawful content.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Spam, solicit, or promote unrelated commercial activity.
- Disrupt, exploit, or attempt to break the app or its security.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion, to protect the community.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the prayers, recordings, and other content you create. By posting, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and distribute that content within the app so the features work (for example, showing your prayer on the wall or playing your recording to listeners). You are responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it.
6. Live audio rooms and recordings
Live rooms may be recorded by their host. By speaking in a room, you understand it may be recorded and made available to participants. Be considerate of others when you host or record.
7. Scripture and reflections
Scripture is provided through the YouVersion Platform. Devotional reflections may be generated with the help of AI (Gloo). While we aim for them to be faithful and edifying, they are offered as encouragement and are not a substitute for Scripture, your own study, or pastoral counsel.
8. Donations
Donations made through the app or website are voluntary and processed by Stripe. Unless required by law, donations are non-refundable.
9. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services (including Firebase, Agora, foldr.space, YouVersion, Gloo, and Stripe). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their actions.
10. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content will always be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bread & Word and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
12. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms or to protect the community or the service.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app grows. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
